The Premier League Board has rejected an appeal by AshantiGold to change the venue for their penultimate fixture against Asante Kotoko in Sekondi due to the travel distance.
With Kotoko serving a temporary home ban from using the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi, the PLB moved their home game on Sunday, June 9 with AshantiGold to the Essipon Sports Stadium, Sekondi.
But in a response to AshantiGold, the league organisers turned down their request in order to not set a precedence.
"We would therefore request that you honour your match at Essipon as previously scheduled. We regret any inconvenience caused as a result of this decision," the PLB said in their response to AshantiGold's request.
