Polytechnic students have condemned suggestions by the Ghana Education Service that holders of Higher National Diploma certificates are unfit to teach in senior high schools. It follows the transfer of some teachers with HND certificates from the Aburi Senior High School by the embattled Headmistress Sylvia Asempa, a move the GES has endorsed. Public Relations Officer of the Ghana Education Service, Charles Parker Allotey explained to Joy FM that one of the teachers is an HND holder. But the Ghana National Union of Polytechnic Students says the action smacks of discrimination.
