President J.A. Kufuor has appealed to Ghanaians to forgive him and his administration for any wrongs they may have suffered during his reign.
He also expressed concern about his sour relations with former President Rawlings and wished the situation was better.
The party’s overwhelming desire for a "one-touch" victory in the December 7 election eluded them by some 70,000 votes, with the swing regions – Central and Greater Accra Regions on whose wings the party flew to victory in the 2004 election - pitching camp with the opposition NDC.
The President was addressing a press conference in Kumasi to appeal to the people of the region to turn up in their numbers on December 28, and vote for the NPP's Nana Akufo-Addo.
