President John Dramani Mahama, is expected to deliver a State of the Nation’s address on Friday, January 4, 2013 in accordance with Article 67 of the Constitution after the return of Members of Parliament to the House on January 3, 2013.Mr. Cletus Avoka, Majority Leader announced this on the floor of Parliament when he delivered the business statement for the fourth week ending Friday, January 4, 2013.He also noted that on the same day a luncheon would be held in honor of all members of the Fifth Parliament of the Fourth Republic.He said the House shall stand dissolved on Sunday, January 6, 2013.Mr. Avoka noted that the continuation of the consideration stage of the Intestate Succession Bill, 2009, and the Health Professionals Regulatory Bodies Bill, 2011 were scheduled for January 3, 2013 and motions on the third reading of the bills also expected to be carried.
