31 year old Ghanaian judoka, Emmanuel Nartey has told sportscrusader.com in an exclusive interview that for Ghana to save its image in track and field events, the Ghana Olympic Committee President, Professor Francis Dodoo must be sacked with immediate effect.
Speaking from his United Kingdom base, Nartey said but for Prof Dodoo Ghana would have won lots of medals at the just ended Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. Nartey has described the GOC President as incompetent and lacking the necessary leadership skills to lead the Ghana Olympic Committee.
“Prof Dodoo is not competent enough to lead the GOC. With him I don’t think Ghana has any future in track and field events. His leadership skills are bad and his human relation is very poor so the better we kick him out the best for Ghana and the athletes” he told sportyscrusader.com.
Emmanuel Nartey is a Ghanaian judoka who competed in the men’s 73 kg event at the 2012 Summer Olympics and was eliminated by Dex Elmont in the second round. He is the first judo player to represent Ghana at the Olympics. He was part of Ghana’s team in Glasgow for the Commonwealth games.
