Officials from German Kit manufacturers Puma have held discussions with officials of the Ghana Football Association about their incentive package for the women’s national team, the Black Queens for September’s FIFA Women’s World Cup in China.
Puma, the kit sponsors of the Ghana Football Association sent a five-member delegation to Accra to meet with the GFA to discuss their plans for the nation, entering the second year of the three-year contract with Ghana.
The Puma team was led by its Vice-President Hoerst Widmann who was highly instrumental in brokering the deal in 2005.
The meeting also discussed the proposed new designs by the kit firm for the Black Stars during the 2008 African Cup of Nations here in Ghana. Puma has a policy of changing its designs after every two years.
