Graphic Business, in partnership with Stanbic Bank, is set to hold another edition of its flagship Graphic Business-Stanbic breakfast meeting.
This edition comes off on Tuesday, June 14, at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel and is centered on the theme: ‘Tackling unemployment to generate growth.’
In an interaction with the host of Joy FM’s Super Morning Show, Winston Amoah, Communications Manager at Stanbic Bank, Kojo Larbi, explained the rationale for selecting the theme.

He stated that “if there’s anything that the people of Ghana are interested in, if you take out flooding, if you take out football, how we get our teeming youth to be employed is big and I guess that’s why for quarter 2, we are tackling unemployment,” he said.
Director, Marketing & Sales for Graphic Communication Group Ltd, Franklin Sowah added that: “We are at a point where as a news house and our partners, Stanbic, we do a lot of analysis of developments and impacts on the economy and our business and you realise that almost all the time, unemployment is one of the thorny issues that come out all the time, [but] we are very quick to just talk about it and blame others for that.
“So a careful analysis of a number of things pointed us to the fact that there is an opportunity around it,” he said.
Guest speakers include; Dr. Adu Owusu Sarkodie of the Economics Department of the University of Ghana, Legon, Miss Florence Hope-Wudu, etc. who will all be giving key pointers to deal with the unemployment menace.
The event will be held at 7:00am and will be streamed live on Facebook via Dailygraphicghana and Stanbic Bank Ghana and myjyonline.com.
