Aspiring Progressive People's Party (PPP) parliamentary candidate for Tano South Constituency, says he will not resign nor apply for a leave of absence because his work does not conflict with his political activities.
Timothy Anabila who works as a nursing officer in charge of Anti Retroviral Therapy at the Bechem Government Hospital has come under a lot of pressure from the Medical Superintendent of the District Director of Health Service, Dr Emmanuel Agyei-Darko to leave his post in the wake of engaging in political activities.
A letter signed by Dr Agyei-Darko is requesting Mr Anabila to resign or apply for leave.
The letter, written on July 14, also states that his decision to contest a political seat is against public and civil service policies and regulations and can be seen as a conflict of interest.

But speaking to Joy News' Precious Semevor, Mr Anabila disagrees with Dr Agyei-Darko adding he will continue his work which doesn't conflict with his political career.
He suspects political opponents to be behind this.
