Dr. Dzanku appealed for the support of the General Assembly in carrying out the mandated duties of his newly elected office.
“I hope that with your prayer and support and God willing, I will be able to deliver as required of me”, he said.
The moderator of the General Assembly of the EP Church, Ghana, Rt. Rev. Dr. Lt. Col. Bliss Divine Agbeko, explained the extraordinary General Assembly was conveyed to also amend Article 30 (1D) of the Church’s constitution.
He said the article had to be amended to enable Minister with intense knowledge and experience to assume Synod Moderators and Moderator of toys General Assembly.
“We had to reverse to the old age bracket, that is not less than 45 and not more than 64 years. By so doing we are still able to get very experience Ministers to man our various Presbyteries and also be able to take the challenge of bearing the office of either clerk or Moderator of the General Assembly.”
Lawyer Dick Kwame Anyadi and Presbyter Joy Delali Setorwu Amegbe were also elected to serve on the Non-Standing Committee of Trustees to manage the estates of the Church.
