The management of Rlg Foundation has stated categorically that Mr. Alhassan Andani is not the board chairman of the foundation.
A statement issued by the management of the foundation on Monday, admitted that the foundation inadvertently maintained his name on its website as Chairman/Board member of the Rlg, which the media capitalized on in the SADA scandal.
“We wish to state without equivocation, that Mr. Alhassan Andani is not and has not been a Director/Chairman of the Board of the Foundation since its incorporation in August 2012. Neither has he been privy to nor played any role in its corporate social responsibility activities.”
Our attention has been drawn to a publication that inaccurately described Mr. Alhassan Andani as Chairman/Board Member of the RLG FOUNDATION.
This inaccurate designation was, understandably, fueled by his introduction on March 2012, at the 10th anniversary celebration of Rlg Communications Limited, in connection with its philanthropic and social responsibility “WATER FOR LIFE” project, which was designed to provide about 200 Mechanized Bore Holes for deprived communities. The project, however, did not materialize, as was originally intended.
Furthermore, failure to update our website with the accurate information on the status of the Foundation, has contributed to the current and prevailing inaccuracies.
We wish to state without equivocation, that Mr. Alhassan Andani is not and has not been a Director/Chairman of the Board of the Foundation since its incorporation in August 2012. Neither has he been privy to nor played any role in its corporate social responsibility activities.
Rlg Foundation is and remains a Non-Profit Organization with its core mandate of undertaking corporate social responsibility interventions in deprived communities.
We deeply regret any inconvenience the reliance on our inadvertence has occasioned.
