Luka Modric believes Cristiano Ronaldo deserves to be mentioned alongside Real Madrid greats Alfredo Di Stefano and Ferenc Puskas.
The 28-year-old recently surpassed Puskas on the list of Madrid's all-time top goalscorers in the league and Modric has nothing but praise for his team-mate.
"There are so many great players who have played for Real Madrid," Modric told bwin.com.
"Looking back, there were Di Stefano and Puskas. More recently, Madrid had Raul and Zidane, one of our coaches.
"And then there's Cristiano, who is the past, present and future of this team.
Modric also had his say on the upcoming Champions League match against Juventus and stressed that Madrid do not fear the Serie A champions.
"We are not afraid of Juventus. They are a great team that we respect, but we are not afraid of them.
"They have a great squad with great players, and when you play big matches like this you want the best players from the other team to play against you."
Tuesday's match in Turin is scheduled to kick off at 20:45CET
