Ghana's Rose Yeboah has secured gold in the women's high jump at the Confederation of African Athletics (CAA) Seniors Championships in Douala.
The African Games gold medalist successfully defended her title by clearing a height of 1.87 meters, surpassing Nigeria's Temitope Adenisa.
Yeboah's remarkable journey in the high jump began about five years ago and has been marked by a series of impressive achievements.

She first gained international attention by winning gold at the U-20 African Juniors Athletics Championships in Abidjan with a jump of 1.83 meters.
She continued her success by clinching gold at the All-Africa University Games in Egypt.
In 2019, Yeboah's star shone even brighter as she won gold at the African Games in Rabat, clearing 1.84 meters. She then secured her first gold at the African Seniors Athletics Championships in Mauritius in 2021, with a jump of 1.79 meters.
In 2023, as a student at the University of Cape Coast, Yeboah set a new national record at the FISU Games by clearing 1.94 meters.

This achievement not only earned her another gold medal but also qualified her for the World Athletics Championships in Budapest.
Although she did not participate in the World Championships, she claimed gold at the African Games held at the University of Ghana Stadium with a jump of 1.90 meters.
The year 2024 has been particularly outstanding for Yeboah.
She qualified for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games by meeting the qualification standard of 1.97 meters, becoming the first Ghanaian female high jumper to secure an Olympic berth. Her successful streak continued as she won gold in Douala on Sunday, marking her second gold medal in six months.
