The much anticipated Radio and TV Personality Awards will now come on on October 13. Big Events Ghana, organizers of the program, announced the new date at a press briefing in Accra today.
The Awards originally scheduled for July 28 this year, was postponed following the demise of President John Atta Mills.
The Radio and TV Personality (RTP Awards) recognizes and awards seasoned radio and TV personalities who have excelled in their duties in the year under review and endeared themselves to their listeners and viewers on their respective radio and television shows.
The maiden edition of the awards held last year, saw several personalities in the radio and television industry including Multimedia's Chief Executive Officer, Kwesi Twum, receiving honors for their distinguished service to the industry. CEO of Big Events Ghana, Prince Mckay says this year's ceremony will be different. He said, this will be a comedy and awards night.
KSM, Highlife maestro, Kojo Antwi, gospel group No Tribe, singer Efya and hip-life duo Ruff n Smooth have been billed to spice up the awards ceremony. Talking to showbiz, Rough and Smooth and Efya encouraged the public to be at the event to witness what they have in store for them. The trophies for the awards were unveiled.
Award winners will receive a trophy and a brand new home theatre set. Some Multi TV presenters and programs have been nominated for awards so let's wish them and all other nominees the best and wait for the results on October 13.
