Spanish outfit Malaga have confirmed the signing of striker Roque Santa Cruz following his release from Manchester City.
The 31-year-old Paraguayan was a free agent after parting ways with the Citizens at the end of the 2012/13 campaign, having spent the entire season on loan at La Rosaleda.
He made 45 appearances in all competitions for Malaga last term, scoring 12 goals, and has put pen to paper on a three-year deal with the Anchovies.
And the former Bayern Munich frontman is pleased to be heading back to the Andalusian outfit, thanking the club for giving him the chance to continue his career in Spain.
He said: "I am very grateful to the club for the effort made for my continuation at the club.
"The effort of the club, the support of the fans and stability for my family are the reasons for my choice."
Santa Cruz made just 20 Premier League appearances during a four-year association with City, spending much of time out on loan.
The Asuncion-born player also counts Olimpia and Blackburn Rovers amongst his former clubs.
