Ghana’s fastest rapper Sarkodie has for the first time, opened up to his fans on twitter to the surprise of his followers.
The prolific rapper has been accused of being ‘unfriendly’ and easily shuns strangers – most of them being his fans – whenever they approach him.
In spite of an impressive career which includes being crowned Artiste of the Year at the 2010 edition of the Ghana Music Awards and the composer of the hit song, You Go Kill Me which goes easily with the exciting azonto dance; Sarkodie has enjoyed a relatively ‘cold’ relationship with his fans off stage.
His reply to tweets from his fans Thursday stunned many with one fan saying, “I'm sure sum1 has got @sarkodie's fon. This isn't him.” Interestingly Sarkodie replied, “Hahahahaaa eeei saa?? So am I that bad? Ooh bro.”
Another also said, “I think @sarkodie is in a good mood today cos he dey retweet to almost all his fans when they tweet #Jux Saying#.”
Some couldn’t believe the fact that their favourite artiste was actually interacting with them. One quizzed, “or has somebody hacked into your account or something???? @sarkodie,” a second said, “I really think his twitter got hacked lol,” while a third tweeted, “I refuse to believe someone hacked @sarkodie account. He's just in a good mood and giving some fan appreciation.”
If truly this is the Sarkodie they knew, then he is indeed giving them a filled day. Has he awoken from a slumber and what has changed him? One may easily ask.
As he replied and retweeted his fans, some happily said “yyyyyyyyyaaaaaaayyyyyy he tweeeeted at me, you made my day..xxxx @sarkodie”, “yaaay! @sarkodie tweeted at me :D....” and “chale @sarkodie just retweeted.”
Is this gifted rapper now on friendship spree with his fans? Time will tell.
