2012 Black Entertainment Television (BET) Best International Act (Africa) recipient, Sarkodie according to reports will be rocking the Big Brother Africa StarGame reality show on August 5.
He will be the second Ghanaian to perform at this year’s show after hiphop artiste, M.anifest thrilled Africa during the live eviction show on Sunday, June 24.
Ghana’s Artiste of the Year 2012, the reports say, will be performing on the final night of the 91-day reality show where the winner of the show’s seventh season will be announced.
Sarkodie, the King of Azonto, will be performing on Africa’s most watched reality show’s stage at a time that the Azonto craze is dominating the reality show.
The Azonto dance has been championed by Ghana’s representatives to the show this year with basically all housemates having a go at the popular dance craze at one point or the other.
Ghana was represented by comedian Derick Kobina Boney (DKB), musician Mildred known on stage as Eazzy, and Keitta, model and brother of hiplife grandpapa, Reggie Rockstone.
DKB and Eazzy have been evicted from the show with the country’s hopes now resting on the shoulders of Keitta, who has set a record Ghana’s best performing housemate till date.
A source close to the organisers, however, told Myjoyonline.com that they are still in negotiations with the artiste and cannot confirm if he would be able to perform on the finale night since he will be arriving in Ghana on July 30 from his North America tour.
