Many European clubs have expressed interest in some of the Black Satellites players who excelled at the recent World Youth Championship in Egypt. Some are already plying their trade in Europe and elsewhere whilst the rest play in the local league. Defender Bright Addae, a player of Wa All Stars who missed a penalty kick against Brazil in the finals is already in Europe to begin a search for a club. He is currently on trials with a Ukrainian top side to see whether he would make the grade. Also in the news to move out of the country any moment from now is Liberty Professionals Kassenu Ghandi whom reports suggest is being chased by some clubs in France and Germany. The young defender cum midfielder was impressive when he came on in the second half for the Satellites in the final match. Already, players such as tournament’s best player and leading scorer Dominic Adiyah who plays for Fredrikstad FK in Norway and skipper Dede Ayew are in high demand after showcasing some outstanding play in Egypt. According to Ghanasoccernet, French Ligue 1 giants Olympique Marseille have shown early signs of regrets for loaning Dede Ayew and are seeking his quick return stating: “the player is not transferable.” The son of football legend Abedi Pele has received a lot of offers from big clubs in Germany, England and Italy. But Marseille are unwilling to sell the mercurial midfielder and want him at the Stade Velodrome in June. “He is not transferable. Unless an exceptional offer comes, he must return to the club in June,” Marseille Sporting director Jose Anigo told L'Equipe. Meanwhile, midfielder and hero Agyemang Badu has returned to Kumasi Asante Kotoko possibly for the first half of the season. Badu who had a brief sojourn in Spain has reverted to Kotoko before em-planing for Italy to join Udinese in January when the European transfer window opens. By Charles Nixon Yeboah
