World Writ Millfields Lodge, a London-based non-governmental organisation (NGO), has presented 19 computers and its accessories and some quantity of educational materials to the Ajumako Bisease Secondary School in the Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam District.
The headmaster of the school, Mr. Ken Entsie Essien received the items on behalf of the school, from Mr. De Roy Kwasi Andrews, Director of the NGO.
Mr Essien thanked the donors for the gesture and gave the assurance that the items would be put to good use. He appealed to philanthropists and other NGOs to help the school to construct a dormitory to house male students. Mr Essien said the school, which was started in 1984 with 60 students, now had a population of 1,100.
He said the school presented 234 candidates for the senior secondary school examination last year but only one of them failed. Nana Okofo Kwakore Gyan II, Odikro of Bisease who solicited for the items through the Director of the NGO, advised the students to take advantage of assistance they were receiving from individuals, NGOs and government to learn hard to enable them pass their examinations.
