Headmaster of Wonoo Ahodwo District Authority (D/A) Junior High School in the Kwabre District of Ashanti, Charles Osei Adjei regrets, fifty years into the schools existence, it cannot boast of a single computer to teach students. The school which is the alma mater of prominent Ghanaians including New Patriotic Party's (NPP) General Secretary Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie alias Sir John and former Kotoko Executive Chairman and Tema Oil Refinery Boss, Dr Kofi Kodua Sarpong, teaches only theoretical ICT, with pupils having no practical lesson.According to Mr Adjei the school only started taking the ICT course at the Basic Education Certificate Examination two years ago, after a teacher dedicated his personal laptop to teach the children.Mr Adjei spoke to Luv News at a durbar to mark the 50th anniversary celebrations of the school. He urged government to extend distribution of free laptops to the area to facilitate the teaching and learning of ICT.
