The 2022 edition of the Ghana Music Awards USA came off over the weekend.
One of the highlights of the event was when musician Sista Afia performed with her mother on stage.
In a video she shared on social media, the singer called her mother, known as Mama G, to the stage surprising the audience present.
When handed the microphone, Sista Afia’s mother sang her ‘Asuoden’ song word-for-word.
"My Love everything and more🥰. Mama G on show."
Mama G surprised the audience who got to their feet to applaud her efforts.
Meanwhile, over the weekend many entertainers were awarded for their efforts in the music industry by the organisers of the Ghana Music Awards USA.
Hitz FM’s Andy Dosty, Black Sherif, Ohemaa Mercy, Davido, KiDi, Medikal and Sefa were among the many stars that won awards on the night.
