The 2014 CIMG Telecommunications Company of the Year, Vodafone Ghana has been crowned ‘Organization with Best Social Media’ and ‘Best Twitter (Organisational)’ at the 2015 Ghana Blogging and Social Media Awards.

Vodafone beat Tigo Ghana, Infoboxx Daily, Surfline Ghana, Ashesi University, and Lamudi Ghana to win “Organization with Best Social Media”.

The telecom giant also beat @TigoGhana, @YesiYesiGhana, @writersPG, and @lamudiGhana to bag the Best Twitter (Organisational) award.

The award ceremony, held at Coconut Groove Regency Hotel in Accra, recognised businesses and individuals who have distinguished themselves in the blogging and social media space.

Commenting on the awards, Agnes Emefa Essah, Marketing Director at Vodafone Ghana said:

“Social media is one of the many channels Vodafone utilizes to interact with its numerous customers. We are excited our customer engagements on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter have brought us these awards. As a forward-looking company, we will continue to create innovative ways to satisfy our customers – the most important beneficiaries of all that we stand for”.

Earlier this year, Social Media Awards Africa also named Vodafone Ghana the “Social Media Brand of the Year” while its #Letsnotpretend  won “Hashtag of the Year award”.
