The Black Stars lame performance against Sudan yesterday has re-ignited debates on the streets over whether an indigenous coach should be handed the substantive job.

The stated he had anticipated the game against Sudan to be a difficult one and that he was not surprised.
Ex-Black Stars striker Augustine Arhinful believes Sunday’s game should not be used as a yard stick to judge the competence of Akwasi Appiah.
He expressed optimism that given time and support, the coach will prove his worth.
Captain John Mensah who struggled to cope with the pace of the game admitted the Black Stars were second best against Sudan.
