The Spokesperson of the Ghana Football Association remains confident the Stars will book a place in Equatorial Guinea and Gabon 2012 despite a disappointing performance by the Stars on Sunday.
The Black Stars were held goalless by a cagey Sudanese side at the Kumasi Sports Stadium throwing Group I wide open.
The Stars only lead Sudan by goal difference with both teams amassing four points from two games.
Congo breathe down their necks with three points following a 3-1 thumping of Swaziland.
The Stars now have a difficult task of grinding a result in far away Sudan and must beat Congo, home and away to be convinced of a place in the Nations Cup.
Randy Abbey told journalists minutes after the game on Sunday “this is just a temporal challenge but we shall surely qualify."
He said the team will correct the mistakes which denied them the much needed victory against Sudan.
Caretaker coach Kwasi Appiah, obviously disappointed with the results, will not speak to the press, at least for the time being.
