The Asona Royal Family of Akyem Abuakwa - family of the Okyenhene, Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin – have taken notice of recent incidents and unfortunate and unconscionable actions of a few of our relatives purportedly in our name, in Kyebi the capital of Akyem Abuakwa.
I, Nana Adutwumwaa Dokua, Okyenhemaa, and the rest of the family hereby condemn the actions and utterances of Kwame Agyei Boateng and all associated with him. We state emphatically the following:
1. The Okyenhene, Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin, has the total and unconditional support of the Asona family
2. Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin is Okyenhene and Piesie of Asonas and is not answerable to these disloyal adehyee and/or their henchmen.
3. The said adehyee and/or their henchmen have brought embarrassment to our family and will therefore be sanctioned according to the laws and customs of Okyeman.
With humility, we have taken note of the general public's continued respect and regard for Osagyefuo's work on the environment, working to preserve biodiversity and all related matters.
We pledge our continued support and endorsement for Osagyefuo's efforts and plead God's continued guidance and blessings upon him, Okyeman and Ghana.
Thank you.
NANA ADUTWUMWAA DOKUA
OKYENHEMAA
