The Agona Swedru High Court has placed a perpetual injunction on the Interim Management Committee members of the Musama Disco Christo Church (MDCC) to stop performing functions of the Church.
The IMC took over the temporal administration of the church after the removal of the previous leader, Akaboha III.
It also cancelled the interlocutory injunction instituted against the Akatitibi, Co-founder and head of MDCC, Prophetess Mathabinaiah Jehu-Appiah that restricted her from performing functions of the Church in absence of the General Head.
The placement of injunction following a ruling by the Court after striking out a writ of summons and statement of claim against Prophetess Jehu-Appiah by some members of the IMC.
Justice Senyo Dzamefe who presided over the Court ordered that at the moment Prophetess Jehu-Appiah is the leader of the church and has the right to summons meetings of pastors and elders of the Church to discuss matters affecting the welfare of the members.
In March 4, 2006, two IMC members, Reverend Jeresim Offa Jehu-Appiah and Reverend James Kinokosu Addae, filed a writ of summons at Agona Swedru High Court praying it to stop Prophetess Jehu-Appiah to describe and call herself Akatitibi (queen mother of the church).
The Court also dismissed the declaration seeking by the plaintiffs that Akatitibi has no right to install a new Akaboha to replace the deposed Akaboha III, Prophet Miritaiah Jonah Jehu-Appiah.
It also struck out a statement of claim that Prophetess Jehu-Appiah has no authority to issue a letter dated 3rd March 2006 and that her claim in that letter to be the Highest Spiritual Head and Leader of the Church was false.
