The Takoradi police have deployed more men in search of a man believed to have beheaded his girlfriend at Apremdo, a suburb of the city.
The lifeless body of 31-year old Beatrice Laweh Adjei was discovered Saturday by her child who screamed to attract the attention of neighbours.
The boyfriend of the deceased, Francis Agbem-nya reportedly committed the crime using a cutlass.
A relative of Beatrice told Joy News reporter Kweku Owusu Peprah that the family has no information about the background of their daughter’s killer.
Meanwhile, the Kwesimintim police commander Superintendent Ayamga says his men are following leads to arrest Francis.
“...No arrests made but efforts are underway to get the suspect apprehended,” he stated.
