Teacher trainees across the country are threatening to boycott class when school resumes later this month, if government does not rescind its decision to scrap their allowance.
The Ghana Education Service scrapped the monthly allowance as part of cost saving measures.
The teacher trainees are disappointed the committee set up by President John Mahama to address their concerns has failed to do so.
National Cordinator of the Teacher Trainees Association of Ghana, Seidu Ahmed said life without the allowance will be very terrible on campus.
He noted that more than 90 percent of their colleagues would not be able to continue schooling, if the allowance is not re-instated.
Seidu Ahmed added that all teacher trainees would be banned from going to school if the Executive Council endorses their decision.
