Two teachers and a supervisor have been arrested for examination malpractice in the on-going Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
They were arrested at a cluster of schools at Fadama in Accra.
Wisdom Kokroko, 61, who was the supervisor for the Fadama cluster of schools, was arrested upon a tip-off after he had opened a pack of Mathematics Paper II ahead of appointed time for the exam.
The pack was found to contain 47 question papers instead of 50.
The other two suspects, Donald Gabaga and Bukari Musah, both teachers of the Queens and Kings School in Fadama were arrested at a nearby spot after they were found solving the questions with photocopies of the yet-to-be-written paper.
Director of Legal Services for the West Africa Examinations Council, Fredric Selby told the press in Accra the suspects will be arraigned before court on Friday, April 24, 2009.
He said at the time of their arrests, the suspects were also discussing the questions with some students.
