A man who stole a BMW crown from a parked car whose owner was buying fuel, ran to the police for help when given a hot chase.
The man, suspected to be a mental patient, reported himself to the Nima Police Command in Accra for stealing the crown.
According to Asempa News, the car owner, one Kofi had parked his BMW saloon car at a filling station to buy fuel.
The suspect who was hanging around the filling station, sensed that the owner's attention was concentrated elsewhere, following which he got hold of the crown, broke it off and took to his heels.
Kofi ran after him while calling for help, which attracted a mob.
And sensing danger, the thief threw the crown away and headed rather to the Nima Police Station for help because he feared his pursuer would kill him.
