Legendary musician Tina Turner has lived in Europe for over twenty years with her German-born husband Erwin Bach - a decision she’s happily committed to, seemingly, since she and Bach gave up US citizenship nearly 10 years ago.

The pair have rented property in Switzerland for decades, but as law limits non-citizens buying property in the country, they hadn’t been able to buy a home. Since they obtained citizenship in 2013, they’ve been able to fully exercise their right to buy whatever they please.

The New York Post reports that the most recent addition to their portfolio is a $76 million estate near Lake Zürich.

The property flaunts ten different structures spread across 5.5 acres of land and includes private lakefront space.

Outdoor space has always been a priority for Turner, as she told AD when the magazine visited her property in the South of France in 2000, “I need nature and solitude - they nurture me. My idea of a vacation is reading a book on the terrace while my boyfriend cooks us dinner." Bushes and other greenery allow for some privacy, while a swimming pool and a dock allow for further enjoyment of the outdoors.

It’s unclear whether the couple has purchased a primary home in Switzerland as well, or if they’re still renting the home known as Château Algonquin that they lived in for years prior to gaining citizenship.

In any case, there’s no doubt that Turner will find joy in decorating the property. "A great interior has to coalesce," Turner told AD.

"When I see something I love - a suite of furniture, a piece of art - I never measure, I never hesitate, I just buy it. Eventually, I'll find a place for it. I have strong tastes - and big storerooms. I've always wanted and needed to transform my surroundings."
