The Divisional Command of the Hohoe Police is holding Prosper Tettey, 42, a photographer at the Kadjebi Electoral Commission (EC) and a Togolese, on suspicion of planning to register some Togolese in the on-going voters registration exercise.
A group of youth said to belong to the National Democratic Congress (NDC), on Monday arrested Tettey and Agbeko Dornyo, 22, between Havekorpe and Ketsi in the Kadjebi district.
The NDC youth group who ambush Tettey and Dornyo at about 0430 hours retrieved registration materials and passport size pictures suspected to be those of Togolese from Tettey.
Assistant Commissioner of Police, Mr Kofi Adei-Akyeampong, Hohoe Divisional Commander, who corroborated the arrest said the case is under investigation.
