The Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) says it is close to securing a deal that will ensure that it gets crude oil.
Although officials will not disclose the details of the deal, they insist it would boost local supply of fuel substantially.
The refinery is presently not refining even though it has completed its maintenance work.
It has therefore largely been selling refined products brought in by other bulk oil traders.
The Head of Public Relations Abba Lokko in an interview with Joy Business said she is hopeful the refinery would be getting very busy with its own business soon.
She hinted that the latest arrangement is different from other deals brokered by the Government of Ghana with Libya and Nigeria.
