In the wake of devastating floods that have left numerous families displaced and communities submerged in the Ketu South district, the resilience of the affected residents is being put to the test as they grapple with neglect from authorities.
Over the past months, heavy rains have caused rivers to overflow, leading to widespread flooding in various communities across Ketu South.
The aftermath has been particularly harsh for many families who have lost their homes, belongings, and, in some tragic cases, their livelihoods.

Despite the severity of the situation, reports suggest that official aid and support from governmental bodies have been slow to reach the affected areas.
In the face of this neglect, Paramount Chief of Aflao, Adzonugagah Amenya Fiti V has stepped up with the help of Welmah Ghana to bridge the gap between the needs of the flood victims and the response from authorities.

Recognizing the urgency of the situation, Adzonugagah Amenya Fiti launched a fundraising campaign with the help of Welmah Ghana to gather financial support for the affected families.
The campaign garnered widespread attention, drawing contributions from both local and international donors who were moved by the Chief's dedication to his community.

In addition to his fundraising efforts, Torgbui Fiti and his sub-chiefs personally oversaw the distribution of relief materials to the affected communities.
This hands-on approach has not only provided immediate assistance to those in need but has also sent a powerful message about the importance of community leadership and solidarity during times of crisis.

Residents expressed their gratitude for the Paramount Chief's swift action, highlighting the contrast with the perceived neglect from other quarters.
One resident Koku stated, "We are grateful for Torgbui Fiti’s quick response quick response. His efforts have made a significant difference in our lives during this difficult time. It's disheartening that other authorities have been slow to respond, but Torgbui Fiti and Welmah Ghana have shown us what true leadership looks like."

As the recovery process unfolds, residents of Ketu South are hopeful that the spirit of solidarity exhibited by [Chief's Name] will inspire broader efforts to address the underlying issues contributing to the vulnerability of their communities to natural disasters.
