Inter midfielder Sulley Muntari faces a voyage back to the Premier League as news spreads that his future under Rafael Benitez in Milan is looking fragile.
La Gazzetta dello Sport claims his adventure in Milan has already been signed off after he stormed out of San Siro during Inter's derby d'Italia against Juventus on Sunday.
Clearly unhappy at his latest exclusion from the matchday squad, Muntari took his protests far, and rather than obey orders to sit in the stands, he left altogether - a sign he no longer wants to be involved with the club.
It's a case of boom and bust for Muntari, who was a key member of the team that won a treble under Jose Mourinho last term.
And the early indications in Italy suggest Tottenham will make a January swoop.
Spurs boss Harry Redknapp signed Muntari when he was in charge of Portsmouth, and he was again linked with a summer move for him.
The Nerazzurri clash with Spurs in the Champions League in two weeks, offering the Premier League side a chance to open a door to trade.
