Barcelona midfielder Yaya Toure has extended his contract with the La Liga and European champions by a year until June 2012.
The club say that they have increased the value of his buyout clause to $140 million from $84 million.
"What's important is to play at a great club and Barca is the club in which I want to play," he said.
"My will is to end my career here, but I have to continue showing that I can play at the level of this club."
The 26-year-old Ivory Coast international joined Barcelona in 2007, and was part of the team that won this year's Uefa Champions League.
