The Ejisu Traditional Council is calling for the arrest of a woman who refused to honour an invitation to appear before the Omanhene.
Yaa Frimpomaa of Boankra is said to have defied Nananom to invoke three river deities on messengers of the paramount chief.
It was in connection with a land litigation case between her and the chief of Hwereso, following allegations that she sold farmland contrary to custom.
Last month she was fined GHS400 by the Ejisu Circuit Court for failing to respond to the Omanhene's invitation.
Madam Frimpomaa allegedly threw on the ground and trampled upon an invitation letter from the Traditional Council.
She also caused a publication in the Spectator Newspaper and on Myjoyonline accusing the Omanhene of being power drunk and a terrorist.
Not even the intervention of her head of family could persuade her to appear before the traditional council’s emergency meeting.
Nana Atta Dwomoh told the Council how he tried in vain to convince Madam Frimpomaa to honor the Council's invitation.
Madam Frimpomaa however explained to Nhyira News that she turned down the invitation to avoid humiliation from the Council.
Ejisumanhene, Oguakuro Afrane Okesse IV has denied the allegation that he is a terrorist and power drunk.
According to him, he will refer the invocation of the deity to the Asantehene because it is a taboo in Asanteman.
