The Akans refer to God the Father in heaven as )surosuro Nyame and they refer to mother earth as Asaase Yaa.
There is a great commonality to how humans relate to mother earth and God the Father of heaven as well as how children relate to their mothers and fathers at home.
For example if farmers don't have a good harvest they never blame the dry soil for wilting their seeds and rendering them unproductive but they continually blame the heavens for not sending enough rains. Same way the blame of poverty and lack at home is laid squarely on daddy's inability to provide despite the fact that mummy also is working yet not earning sufficiently to break the poverty cycle.
Mothers will scold and beat the children yet the children are forever in love with them. For fathers to win the love of their own children fathers will have to demonstrate clearly their ability to protect them, provide for them and have super abilities to have solutions and solve all their problems ( just like what humans expect from God the Father in heaven) before their children will declare their undivided love and respect for their father.
The Akans through wisdom and observation have diligently paired mothers and fathers to the heavens and the earth.
The heavens are still a mystery to man, fathers let the element of surprise be a special tool for you. There is still lots of discovery humans must do on the earth, mothers make yourselves open and available always for your children to know and discover the true you.
Stay blessed parents.
