Trust Mother and Child Hospital, a premier obstetrics and gynecology and pediatric care facility and subsidiary of The Trust Hospital Company Limited has marked its 10th- anniversary celebration with a series of events showcasing its commitment to excellent healthcare and community engagement.
The anniversary is held under the theme: "Reflecting on a Decade of Compassionate Care; Celebrating 10 Years of Healing and Hope".
Since the establishment of the hospital, the facility has taken pride in being the best obstetrics and gynaecological Paediatrics facility in the country, with one of the zero maternal mortality rates.
A grand ceremony was held at the facility's premises at Osu to honour the facility's stakeholders for their continuous support and loyalty.
The event was graced by high-profile dignitaries including the Member of Parliament for the Klottey Korle constituency in the Greater Accra region, Dr Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings, and traditional leaders.
The Chief Executive Officer of The Trust Hospital, Dr Juliana Oye Ameh speaking to JoyNews reflected on the hospital’s decade of excellence. She highlighted the Hospital's growth and numerous accolades, including being honoured recently with the Excellence in Client Satisfaction for Parent Care and Safety Award at the 2024 Ghana Strategic Stakeholder Relationship Conference and Awards and more.
Dr Juliana Oye attributed these achievements to the incredible management, board, staff, clients, and partners and expressed gratitude to them for their trust and support.
"10 years is a very historic moment for us. I am extremely happy and excited that we have been able to chalk this milestone. The vision is very huge for the facility. We are very grateful to our cherished clients and will continue to make them proud moving forward,” Dr Juliana noted.
She also mentioned that Trust Hospital Company Limited's management is exploring options to expand the Mother and Child Hospital by providing a new facility to increase its capacity to improve patients' comfort.
Member of Parliament for the Klottey Korle constituency, Dr. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings commended the facility for creditably distinguishing itself in the discharge of its duties in the first 10 years.
She assured the facility managers and Trust Hospital that, her outfit is ready to retool Trust Mother and Child Hospital with infrastructure and equipment to make it stay ahead of the competition not only in Ghana but within the West Africa sub-region.
"The hospital has been very beneficial to my constituents in many ways of improving healthcare. I loved the smiles on the patients' faces when we visited the wards. I am ever ready to partner with the facility in its outreach program and expand the hospital’s facilities,” Dr Zenator stated.
