Turom F/C emerged the Fetu Afahye Gala Champions in a special soccer Gala Competition organized by MTN as part of activities to mark the Fetu Afahye Festival of the Chiefs and people of Oguaa Traditional Area.
They beat OLA F/C 1-0 in the finals of the competition at the Robert Mensah Sports stadium, Cape Coast to lift the gigantic Cup donated by MTN.
For their prize, Turom F/C received 1.5 million cedis plus a wall clock and T-Shirts while the runners up received one million cedis, a wall clock and T-Shirts.
Ten Clubs participated in the competition.
In a keenly contested competition watched by a huge crowd, Turom's midfielder Raphael Essien, who played a yeoman's game scored the match winner in the second half of the game to ensure victory for his side.
