Mr Samuel Agyeibie-Kessie, the District Chief Executive of Twifo-Hemang-Lower-Denkyira, said a nursing training school would be opened in the area in January next year.
He appealed to the people to register with the National Health Insurance Scheme for accessible and better health care delivery.
Mr Agyeibie-Kessie was speaking at the annual get-together organized by the Twifo-Praso branch of the Ghana Pensioners Association on Saturday.
He asked the people to take advantage the Capitation Grant and School Feeding Programme and send their children to school.
Mr Agyei-Kessie said the assembly would honour senior citizens in the area who have contributed towards the development of the district.
He donated 100 Ghana cedis and pledged 50 bags of cements and three packets of roofing sheets towards the construction of an office for the association.
Mr Peter Akowuah, chairman of the association, said the group would contribute to the development of the district.
