Two former Attorney Generals, Joe Ghartey and Mrs. Betty Mould-Iddrisu who appeared before the Public Accounts Committee Friday have asked for more time to study documents on the payment of 94 million Euros judgment debt payment to a construction firm, Construction Pioneers.The Auditor General’s report contained various judgment debts including that of Construction Pioneers (CP).Joe Ghartey, who was the last A-G in the erstwhile Kufuor administration, was discharged by the Committee after making a a brief statement.He made general comments in respect of the matter but said he needed a copy of the contract award to be able to speak in detail to the issue.The Chairman of PAC then announced Joe Ghartey may be called again if necessary.Mrs. Betty Mould-Iddrisu, who served under the Mills administration, was next to take the seat.She also requested the PAC to allow her some time to study the documents in order to be in a better stead to assist the Committee understand the issues.
