Two students of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), have been named beneficiaries of the D.A Twum Junior Award.
Belinda Ofori and Efua Amissah-Quansah who are part of the 2016 graduating class received $500 and $300 for being first and second best Communication Design students respectively.
The D.A Twum Junior Award scheme, instituted by the Ninani Group of Companies, is aimed at presenting successful students with a real-life experience of working in the Integrated Marketing Communication industry.
The Ninani Group of Companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), to award cash prizes and a one-year internship to two of the overall best students in the Communication Design Department.

“We believe the best way to maintain our lead in the Integrated Marketing Communications space is by grooming young talents and helping them develop their creativity through this scholarship scheme,” the General Manager of Touchpoint Magna Carta, Clarence Amoatey said.
The initial agreement for the scheme will last three years, after which it will be evaluated and extended to other departments, and progressively, other Universities.
Head of the Department of Communications Designs at the University Dr Edward Appiah, lauded the initiative as timely and very well placed.
He is excited that this scheme will allow the benefiting students the unique and rare opportunity to use their acquired knowledge in their field of interest.
