Ghana’s preparations for the Fifa Under-20 World Cup was dealt a blow after the United Arab Emirates pulled out of proposed friendly scheduled for 28 April in Dubai.
The decison behind the withdrawal of the Gulf country remains sketchy as a deal was struck in early February.
The Black Satellites were billed use the friendly against the World Cup finalists to trim the rough edges ahead of the tourney in Egypt.
But head coach Sellas Tetteh his preparations will not be jolted by their decision to chicken out.
“I have just been made aware of the cancellation of the match and I am little disappointed but it happens sometimes,” Tetteh told Ghanasoccernet.com
“We begin camping soon for the world cup and am sure replacement will be found soon.
“It is a shame but that should be alright for us,” he added.
Ghana play Uzbekistan on 26 September before matches England and Uruguay in Group D at Ismaila.
The Black Satellites are aiming to become the first African country to win the trophy in its 32-year history.
