Some 30 students from the University of Mines and Technology (UMAT) paid a courtesy visit to the Education Minister at Accra to express their gratitude for a scholarship program financed by the state official.
The beneficiaries who are currently pursuing Engineering courses at the tertiary institution at Tarkwa presented a citation to Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum to honour his noble act which has seen thirty youths in the Bosomtwe constituency further their education.
Dr Adutwum in an interaction with the team advised and encouraged them to remain focused and make good use of the opportunity before them.
He further gave the assurance that he would continue to support the youth in his locality and ensure Bosomtwe constituency has about 100 engineers it can boast of.
For the Minister, he wishes to realise this objective before the end of his four years in Parliament.
The Education Minister on April 9, received a heartwarming message from one of the beneficiaries as he celebrated his 57th birthday.
According to this unidentified individual, all he or she has achieved is thanks to Dr Yaw Adutwum.
“My greatest achievement in life so far was achieved by your efforts. HBD Doctor. May all your wishes come to pass,” the statement read.
