Former Attorney-General, Martin Amidu has described an article critical of him and written by a John Mahama loyalist, Dr. Valarie Sawyerr, as having the tone of a drunkard.
He said the article by former President Mahama's Deputy Chief of Staff, Dr. Valerie Sawyerr was "incoherent, disjointed, drunken-like" and full of lies.

Valerie Sawyerr and President John Mahama
Dr. Valerie Sawyerr fired a shot at free-shooting Martin Amidu, accusing him of sabotaging the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in which he was once the party's Vice-Presidential candidate.
Dr. Sawyerr challenged Amidu, who openly called on Ghanaians to kick out corrupt NDC government, to resign from the party.
"Respectfully Martin, cut the crap! You have achieved your aim … the NDC is in Opposition. I challenge you to resign from the NDC since you no longer promote the cause of the NDC".
She opened old wounds between the NDC and Martin Amidu who was sacked by President Mills in January 2012 after he tried to retrieve ill-gotten cash from an NDC businessman, Alfred Woyome.

Valerie said she predicted that Amidu's "pomposity, over-bloated ego and sense of self-importance [will] constitute your Achilles heel"
Martin Amidu has wasted no time in responding to the appointee and pointed out a plan by loyalists of former President Mahama to silence him.
He linked the article by Mrs. Sawyerr to a petition by two NDC members demanding his expulsion as signs of a plot inspired by John Mahama.
