The 17 year old senior high school girl who was sent to a witches camp by members of her community for being exceptionally brilliant has benefitted from an educational scholarship from Vaniado Company Limited.
The Communication Director of Vaniado Company Limited, Kojo Frimpong told Joy News TV the company was touched by the plight of the young girl and that called for the kind gesture.
He indicated the company wants to ensure that the young lady puts behind her the trauma she has gone through and focus on her education.
The Minister for Women and Children’s Affairs, Ahajia Hawawu Boye in a telephone conversation with Joy FM’s morning show host Kojo Oppong Nkrumah , expressed her gratitude to Vaniado Company Limited and said she would make the young lady aware of the kind gesture by the company.
The young lady was banished from her community for her outstanding intelligence and was accused of taking the brains of her intelligent colleagues to excel in school.
She sought refuge at the Gambaga witches camp where the Ministry of Women and Children’s Affair rescued her and has since reunited her with her family.
