The 2025 Ghana Garden and Flower Show, organised by Strategic Communications Africa Limited (Stratcomm Africa), received high-level national recognition on Wednesday, September 24, when Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, Vice President, visited the Show.

She went round the various stands and interacted warmly with exhibitors, entrepreneurs, and young innovators showcasing Made-in-Ghana products and green solutions at the 13th edition of the Show.

She commended the creativity and commitment of participants, emphasising that the exhibition demonstrates the power of Ghanaian innovation in advancing sustainability, creating jobs, and strengthening national pride.

She remarked: “It is deeply impressive to see the wealth of talent and innovation among our youth, and the many Made-in-Ghana products on display here.

"The plants, the greenery, and various floriculture products are not just inspiring; they are essential to our national vision for sustainable growth.”

The Vice President further highlighted how the Show contributes to Ghana’s broader development goals, including promoting entrepreneurship, driving sustainable urban development, and creating opportunities within the green economy.

Her remarks reinforced the central theme of this year’s Show, “Urban Places, Green Spaces,” which champions the integration of greenery into urban living to enhance health, climate resilience, and national competitiveness.

The 2025 Ghana Garden and Flower Show ends on Sunday with a closing ceremony at 4:00 pm, featuring as keynote speaker the renowned Nigerian Architect, Olayiwola Papa Omotayo, speaking on the benefits of greenery in the urban built environment.

Speaking later about the visit, Ms Esther A. N. Cobbah, Chief Executive Officer and convener of the Ghana Garden and Flower Movement, expressed her appreciation of the Vice President’s visit.

“Her Excellency’s visit is a powerful validation of the relevance of this Movement. The Ghana Garden and Flower Show is not just about plants and flowers: it is about inspiring behaviour change, driving innovation, and contributing to Ghana’s socio-economic transformation,” Ms Cobbah noted.

The Ghana Garden and Flower Show is the flagship event of the Ghana Garden and Flower Movement, initiated by Stratcomm Africa in 2013 to promote environmental sustainability, youth entrepreneurship, and green innovation.

This year’s edition runs from Saturday, 20th, to Sunday, 28th September 2025 at the Efua Sutherland Children’s Park, featuring exhibitions, masterclasses, the Green to Riches Youth Conference, and diverse business networking opportunities.

The Show continues to promote a Greener, Cleaner, Healthier, Wealthier, and More Beautiful Ghana.
