Actress Vicky Zugah says she is readying to launch her Vicky Zugah Foundation to provide financial assistance to underprivileged children below 15 years who are suffering from ailments. The actress made the disclosure in an interview on Day Break Hitz on Hitz FM and explained that it is her way of giving back to society and her fans who she said have been the pillar of her success. “They deserve every bit of it. They made me who I am, I am most grateful,” she said. Vicky said the foundation to be launched middle of this year will open an account where benevolent individuals and organizations can donate to take care of the bills for surgeries for these less privileged. “I want to open an account for kids below 15 years with ailments that require surgery. I think it’s about time we had some moneys ready. We shouldn’t wait till the thing gets to where they will need the surgery before we start asking for funds from the public. “So I will open an account where people will be depositing money in so if anything like that comes up, they will just take the money out and have the surgery done for kids below 15.” Born to Mr. Komla Zugah and Mrs Beatrice Patu, Vicky Zugah started as a cosmetologist before landing her first role in the movie, Trokosi, acting alongside Jackie Appiah and the late Suzzy Williams. Still in love with cosmetology, the sexy actress said she is prepared to teach ladies who are willing to learn cosmetology. “I want to train girls who are willing to learn and do movie make-up, train them almost free of charge.” Story by Ernest Dela Aglanu/Myjoyonline.com/Ghana
