Voltic (GH) Limited, the recently awarded “Greatest Brand”, has handed over a newly renovated and fully equipped clinic to the Nyameani community in the Bosomtwe District of the Ashanti Region.
The project which was undertaken in 2013 and valued then at GHS 80,000.00, forms part of Voltic’s ambition of accelerating growth and social development through its value chains.
The medical equipment donated include wheel chairs, oxygen cylinders, stretchers, vaccine fridge, delivery sets and beds, instrument trolleys, infant resuscitation bags, stethoscopes, clinical thermometers, bed linens, sterilisers, clinical scissors and weighing scales for both infants and adults amongst others.
The Nyameani Methodist Clinic, which was established some 20 years ago jointly by the community and the local Methodist Church, serves as the only health post in the community. Over the years, the clinic has not received any facelift and also lacked some important medical equipment needed for effective healthcare delivery.
Voltic (GH) Limited, after undertaking a health screening programme for the Methodist Primary School responded to a plea by the Chief of Abrankese Nyameani for assistance in giving the clinic a facelift and providing equipment for improve service delivery.

Presenting the equipment to the clinic’s administration, Ms. Adjoba Kyiamah, Legal and Corporate Affairs Director of Voltic (GH) Limited, said, the donation comes on the heels of a successful health screening exercise organized by the company for pupils of the Nyameani Methodist Primary and Junior High School in the last quarter of 2013.
“Voltic, as a subsidiary of SABMiller understands the interconnection between society and business; therefore we aim to be a force for good in every community that we operate in and this is clearly outlined in the recently launched Five Shared Imperatives of SABMiller, our parent company. For our business and for society to prosper together we need to focus on initiatives such as this”, she added.
The District Chief Executive of Bosomtwe District, Madam Veronica Antwi Adjei who was at the handing over ceremony, commended Voltic (GH) for their support to the district and for complementing Government’s efforts at improving healthcare delivery in the country.
She added that such efforts were welcomed by the government as it hastened Ghana’s health sector processes to attain MDGs 4 and 5 by 2015.
Nana Owusu Agyeman, the Kontihene of Nyameani, who chaired the commissioning and handing over ceremony commended Voltic for bringing employment to the doorstep of the Nyameani community and stated “We thank Voltic for their continuous investments in the wellbeing of this community.
