Black Meteors coach Joe Nana Adacquah has said the team will be ready for the upcoming WAFU Zone B U-17 Girls Cup.
The team has been in preparation for nearly two months, splitting their training sessions between Bibiani and Prampram.
Coach Adarkwa expressed confidence in his team's readiness, stating, "We have been in camp for about six weeks now, and so far, preparation is going well. We are ready for the tournament."
Burkina Faso, initially drawn in the same group as Ghana and Benin, has withdrawn from the competition due to unforeseen circumstances.
Despite facing relatively unknown opponents, Coach Adarkwa is confident in his team's ability to adapt.
"As of now I don't know much about them(opponent) but we are coming to play the tournament. So as the tournament starts we will know how every team plays and we will be ready for any match’’.
The U17 female side will kick off their campaign against Benin today at 15:00 GMT at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram.
The tournament will see Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Togo, Benin, and Nigeria vying for the inaugural title.
